What’s a good, free program for "video-taping" your computer screen (making a movie of your screen)?

By · Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

I’ve heard of good programs for exporting your screen directly to a movie file so you can make demonstrations and the like, but I can’t think of any names for any, nor do I know what to Search for on Yahoo! to find them. Any suggestions?

"CamStudio is able to record all screen and audio activity on your computer and create industry-standard AVI video files and using its built-in SWF Producer can turn those AVIs into lean, mean, bandwidth-friendly Streaming Flash videos (SWFs)"

You can use Broadcaster Studio and a webcam.

It’s lovely and free.

If you want to do a live session, like a tut or whatever, you can use the program called ShareItNow.

(You don’t have to have a webcam.)
