I need to know if you can set your video settings in the computer screen by just plug in it into the computer ?
My zune got wet one day and the next day it worked fine. Than the day after that the display turn pure black now i am not able to see any options on the screen. My question is if there is any way that i can see or manipulate my zune settings or use my zune at all by using a computer or tv screen without been able to adjust the zune display settings for video output.
It may be wet inside still or it may be shorted out. I’d try putting it in a plastic bag with uncooked white rice. I’ve seen this technique blogged about before when a person dropped his camera in to a river. Apparently the rice sucks out the moisture from the device.
If that fails I think you may be out of luck, but there’s still every chance that your unit is just still wet and it’s shorting out via a water trail.
I don’t know that I’d try to hook it up to anything to your unit until you’ve fully dried it out in case you’d damage something else.
Good luck!

Since your Zune is most likely dead by now (or soon will be if it’s not), there’s no point. Next time make sure it doesn’t get wet. (Zip-lock baggies work. I’ve even dropped equipment off a boat and had it survive in a watertight baggie. In salt water.)
