Is there a way to see yourself on the screen while recording?
I do not know if this will make sense or not, but what I am trying to say is this: Is it possible to hook up your video camera to your computer so you can see yourself on the computer screen while recording from the camera?

it could record any activities on the screen and the audio whatever u hear, even the left and right mouse clicks and mouse highlights can be recorded to be displayed in your recordings. i think it is the perfect assistant to create instructional video for u. what’s more, it could record any audio and keep synchronous with video.

And use it like a webcam or it’s similar to a webcam but it’s a camera? yes but only certain cameras can do that. i don’t know which ones though, you’ll have to look around on google for that.
If that’s all you wanna do why not just get a web cam it would also save alot of money.
If you don’t mean that even though it says computer screen there are camcorders that are made for the screen to turn around while recording yourself.

the best method is use the flip out LCD viewer on your camcorder, that can be turned to face the front. Not only simple, but you don’t have to divert your eyes away from the lens to see it. second best is to run the AV output to a TV set. the idea of the computer won’t work very well even if possible because of the latency in processing all the digital encoding and decoding, the computer screen will run a second or so behind real time which will be very distracting.
