Recording your computer screen?

Is there a program i can download so that i can record my screen on my laptop with out using a camera.

press ctrl+PrintScreen on your keyboard then past it into paint or similar program. alt+PrintScreen will copy the active window.
This only works for images not video. (unsure of which you are refering to)
